Is official: I hate the new swipe to delete in Android Gmail 4.5

I want to just tap a bunch of check boxes and delete a bunch at a time.

If there is an easy way to do this, it is not intuitive. Please fix Google.

iOS has no delete all for its email. What is wrong with these companies when they cannot figure out that these things should be easy.

I agree; other mail systems have figured out how to make a "highlight and delete-all" user-frirendly, so why does Google want us to waste our time deleting mail one-by-one?

You can type the image to select then hit the delete button at the top of the screen

If you tap more than one of the new icons you can delete as many as you want with one click of the trashcan 😀

The swipe to delete in Gmail exist if you're settings are set to delete only.

If set your setting to achieve only then you can tap on as many unwanted emails as possible then delete from top right hand corner button.
