How Can I Migrate My Google Data from One Account to Another?
Dear Lifehacker, I have multiple Gmail accounts and a Google Apps account. I have to sign in to one for Google Voice, into another for docs and Gmail, and use the third for Google+.
The latest milestone for WordPress (codenamed Green) is being pushed to WordPress site owners everywhere.
I’d like to discourage immediate updating. There have been many changes under the hood and some of your favorite plugins may be affected.
I will post updates as I learn of compatibility updates or major crashes.
############### UPDATE ###############
3.4.1 is out with a number of security updates. Now would be a better time to upgrade.
Be advised that you can visit the wordpress codex website to see if an plugin author states that his or her plugin is compatible with 3.4.1
Join me for a small workshop covering WordPress Essentials, work-flow tips, and favorite plugins to make you more productive right now. This is a hands-on bring-your laptop affair. Your questions will be addressed there and then…
Lifehacker.com posted a fantastic info graphic that you should read at least once in your life.
WordPress 3.2 is out – Handle with Care
If you spend any time in your WordPress site, you may have noticed that version 3.2 is available for an update.
If your website uses a slideshow/slider, this update will probably break it. Right after testing the new version on our Focus Web Works site, I upgraded one of our clients. The first thing we noticed (after the cool new look for the dashboard) was that her slideshow stopped working.
I’ve since done quite a bit of research and discovered that most slideshow/slider plugins are not working.
One more thing… It turns out that the WordPress developers group has decided to sunset Internet Explorer 6.0. This means that you should avoid upgrading if a large portion of your clients use IE 6.
If either of these situations are a concern for you, we recommend that you wait on that upgrade or at least contact us about your options.
Sincerly,
Nohl Lyons
