HTML Editing
(Note Macintosh users must use the Firefox web browser to use this feature)
The cPanel FILE MANAGER allows you to
modify the HTML files
that are part of your website.
To edit an HTML file, click the text of a file name, then look to the right side of the window.
Notice the bold text Html Editor. Click this so open a new window with the HTML editor. (see below)
Below is a picture of the graphical HTML editor.
Move the cursor over each icon for tool tips. Many of these tools work just like Microsoft Word.
Be aware that HTML is not as sofisticated as MS Word, so you will be limited in what you can accomplish.
This editor is a great tool for updating text or adding pictures or other media.
To add images, click the yellow landscape icon. you can then choose between existing files on the server (left side of window) or upload new images (right side of the window).
[We advise you to keep images smaller than 250 pixels by 250 pixels and 72 dpi (dots per inch).]
To save, click on the diskete icon.
To discard your work, click on the 'x' icon.
