Is official: I hate the new swipe to delete in Android Gmail 4.5 I want to just tap a bunch of check boxes and delete a bunch at a time. If there is an easy way to do this, it is not intuitive. What is wrong with these companies when they cannot figure out that these things should be easy. Robin Peel 06/08/2013 at 2:10 pm I agree; other mail systems have figured out how to make a "highlight and delete-all" user-frirendly, so why does Google want us to waste our time deleting mail one-by-one? branden staack 06/08/2013 at 3:40 pm You can type the image to select then hit the delete button at the top of the screen branden staack 06/08/2013 at 3:40 pm Not type I meant tap * Nohl Lyons 06/08/2013 at 5:50 pm +branden staack Thanks man. That's a big help. Totally not intuitive – sigh. branden staack 06/08/2013 at 5:55 pm +Nohl Lyons no problem glad I could help !! David Whittley 06/08/2013 at 10:38 pm If you tap more than one of the new icons you can delete as many as you want with one click of the trashcan 😀 Richard Yarrell 06/15/2013 at 2:22 pm The swipe to delete in Gmail exist if you're settings are set to delete only. If set your setting to achieve only then you can tap on as many unwanted emails as possible then delete from top right hand corner button. branden staack 06/15/2013 at 2:26 pm +Richard Yarrell I have mine set to swipe or tap and select to delete Leave A Comment Cancel reply Comment Spam Protection by WP-SpamFree Notify me of follow-up comments by email.
